Doug Marin washed ashore in Victoria, joining The Q! and The Zone back in 1998, coming from Vancouver. Doug's experience includes a total of 14 years in broadcast sales with 99.3 The Fox/CKLG in Vancouver, KIK107 in Calgary and KVOS-TV. His career in media actually launched when he was 9 years old. He became a self-employed TV Guide salesperson after The Calgary Herald turned him down for a paper route. He had to be 12 to do that! Part of Doug's professionalism comes from growing up in a retail family, which helps give him an understanding of the challenges local businesses face each and every day. Doug likes to think of himself as being as much your employee as he is a part of the organization here at the radio station. Apart from Doug's career in the media, he's also been a journeyman cabinetmaker, home renovation contractor and a world traveler. Today, you'll often find him relaxing while flying small aircraft, upside-down.
